Amended claim construction order issued in St. Jude Medical et al. v. Volcano Corp.

April 1, 2014 – Delaware district court Judge Richard Andrews issued an amended claim construction order construing terms in a patent infringement case (St. Jude Medical et al. v. Volcano Corp., C.A. No. 12-441-RGA) involving US Patent No. 6,565,514, which relates to a method and system for monitoring, determining by measurement and calculation and graphically displaying physiological variables related to blood pressure. The terms construed are “displaying said graph,” “of the data resulting from said calculation,” “detecting continuously at least two physiological variables, arterial pressure (Pa) and distal coronary pressure (Pd), derived from the guidewire-mounted pressure sensor,” “sensor,” and “sensor element.”
