Court grants injunction against Tellyes Scientific

December 1, 2014 – United States District Judge Steven D. Merryday, in the Middle District of Florida, granted an injunction against Defendants Tellyes Scientific and Simulative LLC’s sale of products that are accused of infringing Plaintiffs Laerdal Medical Corp. and Laerdal Medical AS’s U.S. Patent No. 8,403,674, entitled “Vacular-Access Simulations System with Ergonomic Features” and U.S. Patent No. 5,823,787, entitled “Training Mannequin for Management of Normal and Abnormal Airways.” Defendants consented to this injunction that includes Tellyes Victor ICU, Tellyes Victor ICU Newborn, Tellyes Victor IV products, Tellyes Rescue Angel and CPR& AED Training Simulator products, and all other Tellyes products that perform the same or similar functions as these products. Additionally, Defendants must rescind or cancel all patents and patent applications that are based on, copy, or cover any of Laerdal’s licensed intellectual property or products that were sold or distributed by Laerdal before the filing of the patents or patent applications by Defendants. This case is captioned Laerdal Medical Corp., et al. v. Tellyes Scientific, et al., 8:13-cv-2914-T-23AEP.
