Motion to seal portions of trial transcript denied

January 13, 2015 – The Eastern District of Virginia denied Defendant LifeCell Corp.’s motion to seal portions of the trial transcripts containing its trade secrets and third party confidential information. The court reasoned that LifeCell’s request as currently presented was “not sufficiently tailored to only confidential information.” The technology at issue relates to plasticized soft tissue grafts. The case is captioned LifeNet Health v. LifeCell Corp., 13-cv-486 in the Eastern District of Virginia, Norfolk Division.
