January 13, 2015 – The District of Massachusetts allowed, in part, and denied, in part, Zoll Medical Corp.’s motion to stay an upcoming March 2015 trial. The court ordered that the damages phase of a previously tried and bifurcated case be stayed pending judgment in the cross-appeals to the Federal Circuit, while all issues in a related patent case concerning liability and damages proceed to trial in March. The patents-at-issue relate generally to defibrillator technology. The case is captioned Koninklijke Philips N.V. et al. v. Zoll Medical Corp., 10-cv-11041 and 12-cv-12255 in the District of Massachusetts.
