Final decision in IPR filed by Medtronic against Lifeport Sciences

April 23, 2015 – The Board ruled against Medtronic and determined the claims of the challenged patent were not unpatentable as anticipated or obvious.  The patent at issue U.S. 7,147,662 relates to a hook for attaching an endoluminal prosthesis, such as a graft or stent, within an artery, vein, or other type of corporeal lumen, and is owned by Lifeport Sciences LLC. The inter partes review is captioned IPR2014-00288.
