Sirona Dental v. OnDemand3D Technology

On May 18, 2015, the district court for the District of Delaware issued a consent judgment and order of dismissal in favor of Sirona Dental Systems Gmbh, et al. (“Plaintiffs”).  In the decision, the court held that OnDemand3D Technology, Inc. (“Defendant”) directly infringed, induced infringement, and contributed to infringement of the claims of U.S. Patent No. 6,319,006 (“the ‘006 Patent”), through the Defendant’s manufacture, use, sale, offer for sale, and distribution of its In2Guide dental imaging software.  The court further held that the claims of the ‘006 Patent, which are drawn to a method for producing a drill assistance device for a tooth implant, is valid and enforceable.  The case remains pending and is captioned 1:14-cv-00539.
