Complaints filed by CAO Group, Inc. against Den-Mat Holdings, LLC

On June 11, 2015, CAO Group, Inc. (“Plaintiff”) filed two complaints against Den-Mat Holdings, LLC (“Defendant”).  In the first complaint, the Plaintiff is asserting infringement of U.S. Patent Nos. 7,485,116 (“the ‘116 Patent”), 8,337,097 (“the ‘097 Patent”), 8,834,457 (“the ‘457 Patent”), 8,961,040 (“the ‘040 Patent”), and 8,967,883 (“the ‘883 Patent”).  The ‘116 Patent, the ‘097 Patent, the ‘457 Patent, the ‘040 Patent, and the ‘883 Patent are all assigned to the Plaintiff and are all drawn to laser systems for medicine and dentistry.  The Plaintiff is asserting that the Defendant is infringing the asserted patents by making, using, offering for sale, and/or selling one or more laser devices, including the SOL® Portable Laser, the SL3® Diode Laser, and the NV® Microlaser products of the Defendant.  The case remains pending and is captioned 2-15-cv-00412.

In the second complaint, the Plaintiff is asserting infringement of U.S. Patent Nos. 6,331,111 (“the ‘111 Patent”), 6,719,559 (“the ‘559 Patent”), 6,755,648 (“the ‘648 Patent”), 6,783,362 (“the ‘362 Patent”), 6,926,524 (“the ‘524 Patent”), 6,971,875 (“the ‘875 Patent”), 7,086,858 (“the ‘858 Patent”), and 7,094,054 (“the ‘054 Patent”).  The ‘111 Patent, the ‘559 Patent, the ‘648 Patent, the ‘362 Patent, the ‘524 Patent, the ‘875 Patent, the ‘858 Patent, and the ‘054 Patent are all assigned to the Plaintiff and are all drawn to dental curing light systems.  The Plaintiff is asserting that the Defendant is infringing the asserted patents by making, using, offering for sale, and/or selling one or more dental curing lights, including the FLASHlite® 1401 FLASHlite® 2.0, and FLASHlite® 4.0 products of the Defendant.  The case remains pending and is captioned 2-15-cv-00413.
