On June 25, 2015, EMED Technologies Corporation (“Plaintiff”) filed a complaint against Repro-Med Systems, Inc. (d/b/a RMS Medical Products) (“Defendant”) asserting infringement of U.S. Patent No. 8,961,476 (“the ‘476 Patent”). The ‘476 Patent is assigned to the Plaintiff and is drawn to a sharps protector device for protecting a user from a sharp tip of a medical needle. The Plaintiff is asserting that the Defendant is infringing the ‘476 Patent by making, using, offering for sale, and/or selling products that allegedly infringe the ‘476 Patent, including their High-Flo Needle Sets. The case remains pending and is captioned 2-15-cv-01167.
