September 25, 2015 – Dr. Joseph Neev filed a complaint for patent infringement against Alcon LenSx, Inc. on September 24, 2015 in the United States District Court for the Central District of California (Southern Division). The lawsuit relates to Alcon LenSx’s allegedly infringing LenSx Laser System, which uses focused laser pulses to create incisions in the cornea of the eye. The patent at issue is U.S. Patent No. 8,523,926, entitled: “Devices and Methods for Generation of Subsurface Microdisruptions for Biomedical Applications.” The complaint has been given Civil Action No. 8:15-cv-01538 (C.D. Cal.).
