Fitbit Files Third Complaint Against AliphCom Incorporated

November 2, 2015 — Plaintiff Fitbit Inc. filed a complaint against AliphCom Inc., the maker of Jawbone trackers, alleging infringement of three of its patents.

The patents-at-suit are U.S. Patent Nos. 8,920,332; 8,868,377; and 9,089,760 titled respectively, “Wearable Heart Rate Monitor,” “Portable Monitoring Devices and Methods of Operating Same,” and “System and Method for Activating a Device Based on a Record of Physical Activity.” The case is captioned AliphCom et al. v. Fitbit, Inc., 3:15-cv-02579, and is pending in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware.
