Claim Terms Construed in Inflatable Stent Case

November 16, 2015 –Judge Edward M. Chen issued a claim construction order in a suit filed by Plaintiff and Inventor, Dr. Shaun Samuels, accusing Defendant TriVascular Corporation and its affiliates of patent infringement.  The patent-at-issue is U.S Patent No. 6,007,575 titled “Inflatable intraluminal stent and method for affixing same within the human body.” The court construed four terms from the patent’s representative claim 1. The case is pending in the California Northern District and is captioned Samuels v. TriVascular Corporation, 3-13-cv-02261.
