Court Grants Ranir, LLC’s Motion to Stay

December 4, 2015 – The court granted Defendant Ranir, LLC’s Motion to Stay Pending Resolution of Its Motion to Transfer Venue Pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1406(a) and/or § 1404(a) with limited exceptions. The motion was denied “as to motions to amend the pleadings and Defendant’s service of initial non-infringement contentions,” but was granted as to all other proceedings in the case. The Plaintiff in the case is MedTech Products, Inc., and the patents-at-issue are U.S. Patent Nos. 7,658,198 and 8,316,859. Both patents are entitled “Interocclusal Appliance and Method.”  The case is pending before the United States District Court for the District of Tennessee, Western Division, and is captioned 2:15-cv-02584-JPM-tmp.
