Picky Pam’s Motion to Dismiss for Lack of Personal Jurisdiction and Improper Venue Granted

December 4, 2015 – A District of Utah judge dismissed a patent infringement action brought by Plaintiffs Larada Sciences, Inc. and the University of Utah Research Foundation against Defendant Picky Pam at the Beach LLC.  The court found a lack of personal jurisdiction over the Defendant and improper venue.  The patents-at-issue in the complaint were U.S. Patent Nos. 7,789,902 and 8,162,999, both entitled “Ectoparasite Eradication Method and Device.”  The case was before the United States District Court for the District of Utah, and was captioned 2:15-cv-0399-JNP.
