January 5, 2016—Judge Jon Phipps McCalla of the United States District Court of the Western District of Tennessee construed claims for the patent infringement action between Plaintiff AngleFix, LLC and Defendant Wright Medical Technology, Inc., concerning U.S. Patent No. 6,955,677 (entitled, “Multi-angular fastening apparatus and method for surgical bone screw/plate systems”). The court construed the following disputed terms: Non-threaded, tappable contact region, tap (tapped/tapping), variable insertion angle, and threading. This action remains pending and is captioned, AngleFix, LLC v. Wright Medical Technology, Inc., 2-13-cv-02407 (TNWD).
