Court Construes Disputed Terms in Bonutti v. Lantz

January 25, 2016—After a Markman hearing at which Plaintiffs Bonutti Research, Inc. and Joint Active Systems, Inc. and Defendant Lantz Medical, Inc. presented oral arguments as to disputed terms, the court entered constructions for the twenty disputed terms. There are five patents-at-issue in the case, all “generally directed to orthoses for increasing the range of motion of joints in the human body.” The patents are U.S. Patent Nos. 5,848,979, 7,955,286, 7,404,804, 7,112,179, and 8,784,343. The case is captioned No. 1:14-cv-00609 and is pending in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, Indianapolis Division.
