Court Grants Medline’s Motion to Compel Depositions

April 28, 2016—Plaintiff Medline Industries, Inc.’s motion to compel depositions of two named inventors was granted as it was found proportional to the needs of the case, and Defendant C.R. Bard’s motion to compel Medline to prepare a claim chart was granted-in-part and denied-in-part: Medline was required to provide a claim chart, but not until the expert phase of discovery.  The patent infringement case is number 14-cv-3618 in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and involves three patents relating to a urinary catheter tray: U.S. Patent Nos. 8,448,786; 8,631,935; and 8,678,190.
