Altair Instruments sues Trophy Skin and Other Defendants for Patent Infringement

August 3, 2016 – Plaintiff Altair Instruments, Inc. filed a complaint against Trophy Skin, Inc.; Ahalife Holdings, Inc.; QVC, Inc.; The Neiman Marcus Group, LLC; Lovely Skin, Inc.; Jellen Products, Inc.; Joyus, Inc.; Sunset Park Massage Supplies; Dermstore LLC; Drugstore.com, Inc.; Mama Mio US, Inc.; The Beauty Store of Austin-Weston; and Does 1 through 10 DOES 1 through 10 in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, alleging patent infringement. The patent at issue is U.S. Patent No. 6,241,739, entitled “Microdermabrasion Device And Method Of Treating The Skin Surface.”

The case is pending in the Central District of California and is captioned: Altair Instruments, Inc. v. Trophy Skin, Inc. et al, CACD-2-16-cv-05734.
