Jury Finds Globus Medical Did Not Infringe Flexuspine’s Patent Claims

August 26, 2016 – A jury in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas reached a unanimous verdict, finding that Defendant Globus Medical, Inc. did not infringe any of the asserted claims of Plaintiff Flexuspine, Inc.’s patents. At issue in the case were U.S. Patents No. 7,204,853 and 7,316,714, both titled “Artificial functional spinal unit assemblies.” As the prevailing party, Globus Medical recovered its costs from Flexuspine. The case is number 6-15-cv-00201.
