The Regents of the University of California Sues St. Jude Medical, Inc. for Patent Infringement

October 27, 2016 – The Regents of the University of California sued St. Jude Medical, Inc. for patent infringement, alleging the use of various St. Jude catheters used to treat atrial fibrillation infringe U.S. Patent Nos. 6,164,283 and 6,502,576, related to devices and methods for forming a circumferential block in a pulmonary vein.  The case is captioned The Regents of the University of California Sues St. Jude Medical, Inc., and is pending in the Northern District of California, San Francisco Division, 16-cv-06210.
