UCB Files Patent Infringement Complaint Against Zydus, Cadila, and Teva

November 4, 2016 – Plaintiffs UCB, Inc., UCB Manufacturing Ireland Limited, UCB Pharma GmbH, and LTS Lohmann Therapie-Systeme AG (collectively, “Plaintiffs”) filed a complaint in the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, alleging infringement of U.S. Patent Nos. 6,884,434; 8,246,979; 8,246,980; 8,617,591 by Defendants Zydus Worldwide DMCC, Cadila Healthcare Ltd., and Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc.  The patents-at-issue are directed to transdermal delivery systems for the administration of rotigotine, used in the treatment of the signs and symptoms of Parkinson’s disease and Restless Legs Syndrome. The case is number 1-99-cv-664.
