Court Finds Oxygen Concentrator Patent Valid and Noninfringing in Patent Infringement Suit

June 6, 2017, District Judge John A. Kronstadt ruled that two patents involving a portable oxygen concentrator for treating respiratory conditions are both valid and noninfringing. This decision follows a patent infringement action filed by Plaintiff Separation Design Group IP Holdings LLC against Defendant Inogen, Inc. in the United States District Court for the Central District of California. The patents-at-issue are U.S. Patent Nos. 8,894,751 and 9,199,055, both entitled “Ultra Rapid Cycle Portable Oxygen Concentrator.” This case has been given Civil Action No. 2-15-cv-08323.
