St. Croix Surgical Systems Files an Amended Complaint Asserting a New Patent Against Cardinal Health

January 10, 2018 – St. Croix Surgical Systems, LLC filed an amended infringement complaint against Cardinal Health, Inc. on January 8, 2018. 10X Genomics contends that Cardinal Health infringed St. Croix’s patents as a result of Cardinal Health’s offering to sell, selling, and/or importing the Mynx® family of vascular closure devices, including the Mynx Ace® Vascular Closure Device and the Mynx® Grip Vascular Closure Device.

The patents at issue are 8,568,448, entitled “Clotting Cascade Initiating Apparatus and Methods of Use and Method of Closing Wounds,” 8,652,168 and 9,669,131, entitled “Clotting Cascade Initiating Apparatus and Methods of Use and Methods of Closing Wounds,” and 9,839,716 (“the ‘716 patent”), entitled “Methods of Closing Wounds.” The case is captioned St. Croix Surgical Systems, LLC v. Cardinal Health, Inc., 2-17-cv-00500 in the Eastern District of Texas.
