Complaint filed by Integrated Sensing Systems against Abbott, CardioMEMS, and St. Jude

On January 4, 2019, Integrated Sensing Systems, Inc. (“Plaintiff”) filed a complaint against Abbott Laboratories, CardioMEMS LLC, and St. Jude Medical, LLC (“Defendants”) for infringement of U.S. Patent No. 6,926,670 (“the ‘670 Patent”). The ‘670 Patent is assigned to the Plaintiff and is drawn to an implantable microfabricated sensor device and system for measuring a physiologic parameter, such as blood pressure or blood flow, within a human body. The Plaintiff is asserting that the Defendants are infringing the ‘670 Patent by making, selling, offering to sell, and/or using their CardioMEMS HF System. The case remains pending and is captioned 5:19-cv-10041 (E.D. Mich.).
